Business Coalition for a Global Plastics Treaty
The Business Coalition for a Global Plastics Treaty brings together companies from across the plastics value chain, financial institutions and NGOs that support the development of a global treaty to end plastic pollution. Their shared vision is a circular economy where plastic never becomes waste or pollution, and the value of products and materials is retained in the economy.
ALDI SÜD Group is a founding member of the Business Coalition for a Global Plastics Treaty, convened by the Ellen MacArthur Foundation and WWF in 2022.
In 2024, we joined 20 other members of the Business Coalition for a Global Plastics Treaty in signing an open letter calling on governments to come together and agree on an international treaty to tackle plastic pollution on a global scale.
