Sustainable Agriculture Initiative Platform (SAI)
The Sustainable Agriculture Initiative Platform (SAI Platform) is a global non-profit organisation that supports the food and beverage industry in the transition towards more sustainable and regenerative agricultural systems. Bringing together over 180 members from across the value chain, including farmers, manufacturers, retailers, academic institutions, NGOs, and strategic partners, SAI Platform serves as a collaborative forum for advancing credible and harmonised approaches to sustainable agriculture.
The ALDI SÜD Group joined SAI Platform in 2026. Through this membership, we collaborate with other members to support credible, science-based, and aligned approaches across our agricultural supply chains. As part of the platform, we contribute to the development of shared definitions, assessment frameworks, and tools that promote sustainable and regenerative agriculture practices. This includes participation in key initiatives such as the Regenerating Together Programme (RTP), which aims to establish a consistent, sector-wide approach to regenerative agriculture and support continuous improvement in environmental outcomes across agricultural value chains.
