Waste and Resources Action Programme (WRAP)
The Waste and Resources Action Programme (WRAP) is a global environmental action NGO catalysing policy makers, businesses and individuals to transform the systems that create our food, textiles and manufactured products. Together these account for nearly 50% of global greenhouse emissions. Their work includes UK Packaging Pact, UK Food and Drink Pact, UK Textiles Pact and the global Food Pact Network and The Plastic Pact Network, and the campaigns Love Food Hate Waste and Recycle Now. WRAP runs the Food Waste Action Week and Recycle Week.
The ALDI SÜD Group is a member of WRAP's Water Roadmap, which is part of the UK Food and Drink Pact. This programme addresses the challenges of protecting critical water resources for food, nature and local communities. ALDI has committed to their 2030 targets and supports water projects in southern Spain, Peru and South Africa, as well as water projects in the UK.
